Terms of Service

Last updated 4 July 2026

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of SYNTAX, provided by Truffaire Private Limited. By creating an account or using SYNTAX, you agree to these Terms. Please read the educational-simulation section carefully.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a medical student, healthcare professional, educator or authorised institution representative to use SYNTAX. If you use SYNTAX on behalf of an institution, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that institution to these Terms.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your account. Notify us promptly at one@truffaire.in of any unauthorised use.

3. Licence to use SYNTAX

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use SYNTAX for personal medical-education purposes, or, for institutions, in accordance with your separate agreement with us.

4. Educational simulation — important

Please read this section carefully.

  • SYNTAX is an educational simulation and training tool for medical education. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
  • All patients, cases, investigations, results and feedback within SYNTAX are simulated and fictional. They must never be used to diagnose, treat or make any decision about a real person.
  • SYNTAX does not replace real clinical training, supervised practice, qualified instruction or professional clinical judgement.
  • You must not rely on SYNTAX for real clinical care, and you must not enter real patient information into the platform.
  • Clinical guidelines evolve. Simulated feedback is for learning and may not reflect the most current guidance for real-world care.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • misuse, disrupt or interfere with the service or its security;
  • attempt to access data or accounts you are not authorised to access;
  • reverse-engineer, scrape, copy or resell the platform or its content;
  • use SYNTAX unlawfully or to harm, harass or mislead others.

6. Intellectual property

SYNTAX, including its software, case content, scoring, branding and design, is owned by Truffaire and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You receive no rights other than the limited licence granted in these Terms.

7. Subscriptions and payment

Paid plans are billed as described at the point of purchase. Unless required by law or expressly stated, fees are non-refundable. We may change pricing or plan features with reasonable notice.

8. Third-party services

SYNTAX relies on third-party providers for authentication, hosting and AI inference. Their availability, changes or terms may affect the service, and we are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

9. Disclaimers

SYNTAX is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the service or its content is error-free, uninterrupted or clinically complete.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Truffaire will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any decision made in reliance on SYNTAX. Our total aggregate liability arising from or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid to us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Truffaire harmless from any claims, damages or expenses arising from your misuse of SYNTAX or your breach of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the service. You may stop using SYNTAX at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India for any dispute arising from or relating to SYNTAX or these Terms.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify you through the service. Your continued use of SYNTAX after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
